PDP - no money for developing the state, but enough money for elections
Of what use is a toothpick factory when there is nothing to eat? When you build a tomato greenhouse at the airport, is it not just for people to look at?
The Udom Emmanuel industries are rumours - we hear about them, but we never see them. They have no impact on the common man.
For 4 years, PDP has been saying there is no money. But now that it is time for re-election, money has suddenly come. Is this a deliberate strategy? To keep people so poor that when 10,000 Naira is given to them, they will vote for PDP?
A government that says there is no money to pay retired teachers or to pay pensions - but they have been paying agents since last year in preparation for this election.
They have compromised the INEC REC already, like an observer in last election wrote:
"The Name Mike Igini Stands For Corruption. Many of the unclaimed INEC voters cards were sold out to PDP in Akwa Ibom State by Mike Igini. Many PDP members at their polling units were with many INEC cards in their pockets. They gave the cards to their members to vote as many times as possible. The card readers won't authenticate their fingers but since the name on the cards are in the register, INEC adhoc staffs gave them ballot papers to vote. APC agents were not smart and couldn't understand the PDP systemic rigging. Some APC agents were bribed by PDP to the tune of N50,000 and they looked the other way round.”
We are in perilous times. A government that does not care about the people is using all means possible to retain their grip on power.
And Udom Emmanuel isn't the problem, its the hyenas within the confines of government who have little or no life outside government, these are the many parasites who can not survive anywhere outside Akwa Ibom State, some of this young Men have been feasting from government since 1999, they live, breath and eat our allocations. They perpetually want to remain in the corridors of power, so they are ready to kill, maim and destroy anything that will stand in their way.
This Saturday is the last chance to correct the course - and I am afraid that if we lose this election, it may be too late. We will be looking at 4 years of people using our common state funds to repay the massive debts they have taken to win this election.
Let us not lose this opportunity. We can't fold our hands and watch this people destroy our State and plunge it into permanent poverty over the next four years.
